I've missed you, John. It's a damned shame we didn't meet in 1970. That would have been a gas, gas, gas.

Take care of yourself and, if possible, stay alive! :-)

I remember well the 1st Earth Day Teach-In back in 1970. I was in 10th grade and most everything I attended in different places of global destruction have come true. There were different areas of concern with various aspects in lieu of standard classes. Not so much diseases, but overpopulation and global warming/lack of diminishing resources. My guess is that certain aspects are an era of acceleration in most regards. And lately; introduced diseases as profit motive and population reduction. My speculation from intense research a few years ago.

Now I watch streaming services on a nice TV and have stopped reading as my attention can't focus on difficult aspects of modern American discourses swirling in the world we now inhabit. I may be 69 but hard living has added about 10 years to my time-frame. And the health aspect is non-linear, especially in the last two years or so.

I have increasing pain in my feet that limits my ability to type over a keyboard. I may be going to a nursing facility very soon. It's all about severe COPD--namely emphysema from heavy cigarette smoking concurrently with a crack cocaine habit in the late '90's. "Just don't smoke", as the late Yul Brynner(1st Westworld, 1973) said in a PSA commercial shortly before his death in 1985.

Thanx for reading my musings, Charles. Peace be with you. John Allen, The Ol' Hippy
